Ladies' Craft Night
Upcoming projects and dates
Hello ladies! Here is a basic run-down of the upcoming months and projects. This is subject to change as needed and feel free to ask Ruth Lund and Shawna Franklin questions concerning the events and we will answer them as best we can.
August 17, 2017: Continue with making the rag rugs. Bring another project or just come to socialize if you don't want to work on a rag rug.
September 21, 2017: Rag rug continuation and other projects. If you want to go over crochet or knitting projects that you started earlier in the year, feel free to bring those to work on!
October 19, 2017: Making flower centerpieces/ arrangements: Gerry Shipp will be present during this craft night to demonstrate how she makes her beautiful arrangements. A list of needed supplies will be provided closer to the date.
November 19, 2017: We will be having craft night a week earlier this month due to preparing for the Gingerbread Extravaganza the following week. We are hoping to host a "Paint Night." For this night, there will be a monetary fee but then the paints, paint supplies and canvas will be provided. This will be a fun night and you do not have to be experienced with working with paint! Just have fun!
December 2017: There will be no craft night in December. We will meet again in January 2018.
Men's Brotherhood Ministry
The men's Brotherhood ministry will meet on August 21st at 6 pm at Clarence Young's home. Please see Paul Miller if you have questions regarding this ministry.

Plainfield folks: There are many opportunities to help for this event! Please check out the sign up sheets located on the bulletin board and Christian Education bulletin board to see how you can help. If you have any questions please see Karen Fenton.
Blood Drive: There will be a Blood Drive held in the morning of the Pig Roast (Sept. 9) from 9am to 2pm. Please consider donating blood.
Month of September
We 'will once again be hosting Carlisle Cares throughout the month of September. We need 2 volunteers each night to make sure the doors closest to the FLC are unlocked, make sure there is water in the cooler with cups available and to be present for any questions or concerns. We would like volunteers to arrive around 8:30 pm and stay until about 9:3o pm-10:00 pm. This is an important ministry to the homeless in our area, so prayerfully consider becoming involved. Sign up sheet is located on the bulletin board in the hallway outside of the sanctuary.
